Grade II Bagless Day Activities May 2023
“Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.”
A bagless day on 25 May 2023 was planned for Grade II students. It is a fun-filled way of learning through experiences and creativity among the students. It also reduces the gap between bookish knowledge and the application of knowledge through activities.
 
ENGLISH- Common Noun-Proper Noun “FIND YOUR PARTNER”
“Find Your Partner” activity was carried out to enhance the grammar concept of Common & Proper Nouns through a game. In this activity, a mix of common and proper nouns written on flash cards sticks were distributed to all the students. They then have to identify the noun and find their partner to match the common with a proper noun.
There was joy and excitement in the classroom as students interacted with each other to find their answer. Learning in this manner was indeed relaxing, interesting and long lasting. It also provided a space for peer learning and teamwork.
This kind of planning truly ensures holistic development and learning, in a joyful environment.
 
EVS- COLLAGE MAKING- PRODUCTS OF QATAR
In our endeavor to shed light on vision of a “Self-reliant Qatar” amongst the students, a Collage Making Activity of the indigenous produce of Qatar was planned. The students brought pictures of the products and created a collage on a printed outlined map of Qatar. The activity spread awareness about the national products of Qatar. Students took pride in sharing the information about the food products made in Qatar.
 
2nd Language
Students participated in various activities during the 2nd Language period – Poem Recitation (Hindi), Exploring the animal Kingdom (Malayalam), Countries and Flags (French), Solar and Lunar Letters (Arabic), Draw and Colour Activity (Tamil)
With an integration of art, general knowledge, EVS, all the activities helped in gaining awareness on animal kingdom, identify countries and flags, healthy food habits and developing expression, recall ‘N’ recite, improving language skills etc.
